We are excited to announce a specification improvement for motorized shades ordered from the Arcadia Natural Shade Collection. Starting October 1, Standard Lithium Ion, DC, AC, and Pro Wand motors will use a system that fits on a 1½" head rail. Power Lift Motors will continue with a 2½" head rail. With this system change, the motors themselves remain exactly the same, maintaining their programming and operating instructions. What’s new is the system that attaches the motor to the headrail. This updated design is more compact, allowing our motors to now fit on a 1½ inch head rail. The 1.5" headrail is perfect for installations where space is limited, like inside shallow window frames. Because the system is more compact, it also helps contribute to a quieter motorized experience.

We are excited to reintroduce wand controlled motorized shades with the new Pro Wand motor. Pro Wand will be available for all collections starting October 1, 2025. The Pro Wand maintains the simple functionality and programming experience of our original wand control, with a redesigned look and connection. Features of the new design:
 We are adding the option for a Plug-In Power Adapter for all our shade collections. This accessory powers the 12 V DC External Power Motors. The Plug-In Power Adapter simply connects to the motor's lead wire and plugs into a standard wall outlet. The Plug-In Power Adapter provides continuous power and eliminates the need to recharge or use battery packs. Please note, the Plug-In Power Adapter includes a 60" lead wire. 48" and 96" extension cables are available. To avoid operational issues, when paired with the Plug-In Power Adapter, the total length of the lead wire and extension cable should not exceed 16 1/2’.  ORDERING SYSTEM NOTEIn your ordering system, you will now see the External Power Motor instead of the External Battery Pack Motor option. This motor can be paired with an external battery pack, AA battery tubes, or the Plug-In Power Adapter to receive power, so the name has been updated.
