The Bright White liner offers a crisp, clean tone that pairs beautifully with the white patterns in the collection. Both liners are made with a thicker material that provides increased privacy while maintaining a soft, light-filtering effect.

We will automatically send a new liner update pack to your address on file. Shipping will begin this week. All existing liners remain available to order in addition to these two new options.

A reminder that Standard and Extended depth returns will be available for outside mount shades on October 1, 2025. There are no changes to the option or specification for inside mount shades.

Standard depth returns are made to the depth of the head rail. Extended depth returns are made slightly deeper than the head rail and help close the gap between the wall and the back of the shades.

To allow extended returns to fit properly to the shade valance and return back to the wall, we will change the way outside mount shades are made:

• All Outside Mount Standard Shades will be made with a valance that is 1/2" wider than the ordered width. The headrail and shade fabric will be made to the ordered size.
• Outside Mount Waterfall Shades will be made with the shade fabric to ordered width. The headrail and back valance will be made 1/2" narrower.

These adjustments allow the return to make a clean corner in the front of the shade and clear the fabric at the back of the shade.

This specification update applies to all woven wood and fabric roman shade collections including Portfolio Collection Natural Shades, Walden Premier, Walden Select, and Portfolio Collection Fabric Roman Shades. 

Many of the finely woven fabrics or fabrics with open weaves in our woven wood collections require edge binding to protect the edge of the shade and keep the shade fabric from fraying over time. We understand that Edge Binding may not be a suitable style choice for all design aesthetics, so we've added Edge Seal as a new solution to protect the edges of shades. 

Edge Seal is used on select fabrics when ordered without edge binding. See below for the list of fabrics using this option when not using edge binding. 

Edge Seal is a non-adhesive tape applied to the back left and right edges of select shade fabrics. It is also applied to the valance of standard shades.

Edge Seal is transparent once applied, but it may be slightly visible from the back and front of the shade, especially if the shade is unlined. It will be more visible on darker fabrics than on lighter fabrics.

Please note, some fabrics in these collections have continued with the edge binding requirement, as all weaves and materials are not suitable to pair with Edge Seal.  This update will be applied to Portfolio Collection Natural Shades and Walden Select.

Natural Draperies present a sophisticated and stylish way to cover large windows or sliding doors. When specifying, note that the Natural Drapery will include decorative track with your choice of rounded or rectangular profile. Because draperies install using a decorative track, valances are not needed for this product.

Natural material is railroaded to hang vertically when ordered in this style. Draperies require edge binding, which is sewn to all four sides to protect the edges and is included in the price of the drape. 

Natural draperies are constructed using wave tape. Hooks attach to carriers, which glide smoothly in a traversing track while maintaining their structure when being opened and closed.

Natural Draperies are made with 150% fullness and are available to order for our woven wood collections including Portfolio Collection Natural Shades, Walden Premier, and Walden Select. Updated product guides will be available in the coming weeks.

Note: Natural Draperies are being added as a replacement for Folding Doors. See Folding Door Discontinuation at the bottom of this post for more details. ​

In your ordering system, you will now see the External Power Motor instead of the External Battery Pack Motor option. This motor can be paired with an external battery pack, AA battery tubes, or the Plug-In Power Adapter to receive power, so the name has been updated. ​

We are excited to reintroduce wand controlled motorized shades with the new Pro Wand motor. Pro Wand will be available for all collections starting October 1, 2025.

The Pro Wand maintains the simple functionality and programming experience of our original wand control, with a redesigned look and connection.

Features of the new design:

• The connection to the motor head has been improved with a larger eyelet that allows the wand handle to hang straight down without skewing to the side.
• The charging port is located at the bottom of the wand handle.
• Recharge via a USB-C charging cable. 
• Wands for this system are only available in White. They will remain available with 2', 3', 4', and 5'.  

Natural Draperies are being introduced to replace Folding Door options. All Folding Door products will be discontinued on October 1, 2025. We are no longer able to source the components for this option and have brought in Natural Draperies as an elevated replacement.
